Button Control Text Entry Issue - Backwards Text

Whenever I create a button and try to enter/edit the text displayed on the button, the text entry is completely backwards. The cursor appears to the left of the pre-entered text instead of to the right. When I try to delete the text, I can use Delete to remove text - I can't use Backspace. The text will delete from the right to the left as normal but then when I try to type anything new in, it adds characters in the wrong direction. For example, I entered "Reset Filters" and it shows as "sretliF teseR." My current workaround is to just type the characters in backwards so they appear in the right order.

I can use the left and right arrow keys to move the but can't use my mouse, however even if I move the cursor all the way to the right end of the text and hit backspace, the cursor will delete one letter from the right then disappears and reappears all the way to the left again. 

This does not strike me as a feature - none of this behavior is logical. See below:

I took a screen recording to show the exact behavior because it's very specific but I see that there isn't an option to attach video files.

FYI I'm using Looker in Firefox. Looker states that Firefox is one of their "Level 1 Browsers" so it should be supported, right?

Funny bug.
I bet it will disapear after reloading report or totally rebooting pc

I have reloaded the report many times and restarted my PC. Neither of those fixed it.

Copy and paste the text from somewhere else, and then it should work.

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I tried your solution, copying and pasting the text from elsewhere and it actually worked. The text now appears correctly without any issues. Thank you so much for this quick workaround! I really appreciate the help, and I'm glad  found a temporary solution while I wait for a more permanent fix. Thanks again

This is happening to me in chrome. Tried clearing cache and restarting everything. Still backwards. Same issue persists in multiple different files.

Yikes! Sorry for the trouble. I've reported this to the development team.

I tried the copy/paste solution and it does work. (Easier than typing backwards 😅)

I’m experiencing the same issue as well! Just like you mentioned, It’s good to know I’m not alone with this. Has anyone found a fix for this? Or perhaps switching browsers might help?Looking forward to any solutions or tips! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Same issue - typing the label of the button writes backwards, but delete and backspace still remove in the usual direction (so it's not just everything reversed). Is there a localization issue for the text box in the button? (Thinks it's a right-to-left language?)
