OneTrust has created an AI agent to streamline data breach management, the privacy technology company announced. The Privacy Breach Response Agent, built with Microsoft Security Copilot, automates incident evaluation, regulatory mapping and notification requirements.
The agent works by evaluating breach scope, identifying affected jurisdictions, assessing regulatory requirements and generating guidance for privacy teams. It creates an audit log of all actions and decisions for compliance documentation.
“An agentic approach to privacy will be game-changing for the industry,” said Blake Brannon, chief product and strategy officer at OneTrust. “Autonomous AI agents will help our customers scale, augment and increase the effectiveness of their privacy operations.”
The new tool is expected to be available in summer 2025.
