✅ All Škoda trams types for German operator Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH have been officially approved for full operation! The 30, 40, and 60-metre trams stand alone and as variants of operations are now officially cleared to operate on both tram and railway infrastructure in the Rhine-Neckar region. Yesterday, project partners came together in Mannheim to celebrate the successful completion of the approval process. “Finalising the approval process across all vehicle lengths confirms the technical maturity and reliability of the RNT platform,” said Jan Christoph Harder. “It also reflects the strong coordination behind the project and the flexibility of our modular tram concept for the region of rnv and as efficient mobility solution for cities and regions in the DACH region and beyond.” #SkodaGroup #UrbanMobility #Tram #PublicTransport

The Škoda ForCity Smart 45T trams have already proven their worth in Brno. We've already delivered the first batch from the option and are producing the next one. We designed this 100% low-floor model with a timeless interior to meet all the requirements for modern 21st-century vehicles. Brno is enjoying the benefits of its bi-directionality and smooth, comfortable operation; thanks to full adhesion – the driver and passengers are assured of a smooth ride in all weather conditions. The ForCity Smart 45T is spacious, air-conditioned, and barrier-free, but the CCTV enhances safety and helps prevent vandalism. The trams have an external and internal camera system and partially tinted side windows. The driver's cabin has been redesigned, emphasising simplicity and good visibility. We've secured the contract to deliver 46 new Škoda 32Tr and Škoda 33Tr trolleybuses to Esslingen, Germany. This delivery will position Esslingen as one of the first cities in Germany with zero-emission public transport. The order from Städtischer Verkehrsbetrieb Esslingen am Neckar also includes an option for an additional 15 trolleybuses. The fleet, comprising 12m and 18m vehicles, is tailored to meet the customer's needs. Powered by Škoda's energy-efficient, emission-free asynchronous motors, the trolleybuses will feature batteries recharged through braking energy, thanks to recovery technology.
