𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗠𝗙𝗖 Our multichannel strategy aims to align the stores even more closely with the needs of professional customers from the HoReCa sector. The core element here is the efficient combination of in-store sales areas with an extended delivery service. As a result, the #stores can be used not only as 1️⃣ sales locations, but also as 2️⃣ efficient warehouses and 3️⃣ delivery platforms. Just last week, METRO Italia opened a new multichannel fulfilment centre (MFC) in Olbia in northern Sardinia. With the opening of the new location, METRO Italy is expanding its strong position in Sardinia and complementing the existing locations in Cagliari and Sassari. 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗥𝗢 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 After opening its first delivery depot in Savigny-le-Temple (Ile de France) one year ago, METRO France has now opened a second depot for Food Service Distribution (FSD) in La Brède near Bordeaux on 7 April 2025. This move enhances METRO France's supply chain logistics and speeds up their delivery service. Orders placed by 4pm will be delivered the next day to over 2,000 professional customers in the hotel, restaurant, and catering sectors in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. METRO France is thus strongly supporting our #multichannel strategy #sCore. They are the only player in the wholesale market in France that welcomes customers physically within their 🏬 #stores, meets their needs in terms of 🚚 #delivery, and allows them to order the widest non-food assortment on the market through our 🛒 #Marketplace.
