There are a lot of misconceptions and understandable concerns when it comes to "cloud", especially in highly regulated industries such as #financialservices. Most of them revolve around data locality, data protection, security in general and very often the fear of losing control of your systems and your (customers) data. Clarifying those misconceptions is basically the primary job description for people like me. And still too often, companies shy away from taking the first step or truly committing to cloud. That is also why I feel so incredibly privileged of having been a part of the amazing cloud journey of Deutsche Börse and even more privileged of attending today's celebratory "Ringing-the-bell" event in Frankfurt. The past 2 years of our strategic partnership have truly been a trailblazing journey and I am looking forward to what will come next while we "keep our eyes on the stars and our feet on the ground" (love that expression, Christoph!).
