Making your organisation neuroinclusive doesn’t have to be costly or complicated. April is World Autism Acceptance Month, and we’re taking this opportunity to share examples of neuroinclusive hiring practices that can support autistic individuals to navigate your recruitment process. These simple but incredibly meaningful changes can make a world of difference: - Offer clear communication: explain explicitly within your job descriptions which skills and experience are essential for the role, and ensure candidates know exactly what to expect throughout the hiring process - Adapt interview formats: provide flexible options and make it clear applicants can ask for reasonable adjustments (with examples), such as written interviews or task-based assessments - Reduce sensory distractions: choose quiet environments for interviews and assessments, and be flexible to ease any stress or discomfort - Train your team: equip all hiring managers and interviewers with the knowledge and tools to make your hiring process accessible, such as training interviewers on how to avoid making assumptions based on an applicant’s body language Leading charities like The National Autistic Society provide valuable resources for both employers and jobseekers, offering guidance around implementing and asking for reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring process. These practices not only help autistic individuals feel more comfortable and understood, but they also improve the recruitment experience for all applicants. By creating an accessible, transparent process, you help candidates understand immediately if the role is a good fit for them, and in turn, you help your team get the best out of every interviewee. Kate Headford, our Associate Director and Head of Tiger HR Division, is passionate about advocating for neuroinclusive hiring processes. If you’d like to discuss how we can support you to make your hiring processes as accessible as possible, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

💥 Celebrating 6 years at Tiger Recruitment today! 💥 It’s been an exciting, rewarding and always interesting journey of growth and achievement for me. If you know me, you’ll know I’m not one for personal LinkedIn posts and this is a little out of my comfort zone. However, I wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the clients and candidates that have trusted me with their recruitment processes and job searches over the past 6 years. It has been an incredibly fulfilling experience working with you all! I am also so lucky to be surrounded by such a fantastic team in the Tiger West End office, and am immensely grateful for the endless inspiration, laughs, pep talks, mental health walks, lunchtime 1Rebel classes and coffee run catch-ups. They say “It’s not the team with the best players that wins, it’s the players with the best team...” and I can honestly say that I am surrounded by the best. 🐯

Our Dubai consultants enjoyed a fantastic lunch last week, joined by CEO, David Morel. What a lovely setting to pause and reflect on the achievements of the past few months! We value opportunities like this to come together outside of our daily routines and recognise everyone's hard work. Zahra Clark Charlotte Hawkes Tara Goodridge Faye L.
