I used one focus day to prep content for a month of travel – here's how 👇
Ahead of a month-long trip (half work, half personal), I knew I couldn’t rely on my usual process of posting when I felt inspired.
So I gave myself one focused day to prep content — not 30 fully finished posts, but a flexible system I could pull from when I was tired, busy, or just not in the mood to create.
Here’s what that looked like:
🗂 I chose content pillars based on what was already happening in my life — retreat prep, visa stress, packing, museum visits
🧠 I brain-dumped every idea that came to mind, without worrying about polish
📝 I drafted 4–5 low-lift text posts and outlined a few video ideas
📹 I filmed a mix of talking-head clips and B-roll for voiceovers
📅 I used Buffer to tag, organize, and lightly schedule everything — no spreadsheets needed
🧳 I even made a mini “content buffer” of lazy-day posts and reminders for spontaneous moments
This system took about 7 hours total.
Was it perfect? No.
But it gave me clarity, options, and the ability to rest without losing momentum online.
If you’re heading into a busy season, a trip, or just want to stop scrambling for content every day, this type of prep might help.
Not because you need to batch like a machine — but because your future self will thank you for making things easier.
