Clearloop is thrilled to announce a new multi-year agreement with Microsoft to deploy up to 100 megawatts of renewable energy projects over the next three years. This new agreement will accelerate decarbonization and drive capital investment in approximately 20 socioeconomically diverse communities. Based on the locations of the proposed projects, Clearloop expects the new solar portfolio will prevent more than 5 million metric tons of carbon from entering the atmosphere over the next four decades. Read more in our press release: https://bit.ly/3D9hxCy The first four solar projects in the multi-year agreement are set to break ground over the next few months and will be operational by year’s end in communities across Arkansas and Louisiana. These will be among the first large-scale solar projects interconnecting and serving the local distribution grids in Poinsett County, Cross County, and Desha County in Arkansas, as well as Bienville Parish in Louisiana. As is the case with all Clearloop projects, the new solar portfolio will be developed, owned, and operated by its parent Silicon Ranch Corporation for the lifetime of each project. As part of this agreement with Microsoft, Clearloop will create a Community Benefits Fund, managed by nonprofit Sustain Our Future Foundation, to support positive outcomes for local communities. https://bit.ly/3D9hxCy | Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program #MakingSolarDoMore #Decarbonization #Microsoft #mspartner #CommunityFocused

Thanks to Rasha Rehman for her thoughtful coverage of our partnership with Microsoft for TriplePundit. As Rasha notes, "...the Southeastern U.S. has "plenty of opportunity to reduce energy-related greenhouse gas emissions by leveraging solar power. The tech giant Microsoft and climate solutions company Clearloop are using that opportunity to increase solar energy production in the region by bringing it to communities that stand to benefit the most." Read the article in full to learn more about how we're partnering with Microsoft to bring reliable energy infrastructure to historically underinvested communities: https://bit.ly/42BUTwp #MakingSolarDoMore

#WomensHistoryMonth is an opportunity to reflect not only on the historic contributions of women to social, economic, and technological progress but also to celebrate the work women are doing today to shape a brighter future for our communities. At Silicon Ranch, we have the good fortune of partnering with many remarkable women who are innovating and improving best practices in the energy and agriculture sectors. Read the blog linked below to learn more about the incredible work being done by our partners Roxanne Newton, Anna Clare Monlezun, PhD, and Dr. Andrea Lear; the women who are putting the "Farm" in "Solar Farm:" https://lnkd.in/eHBNWsEw #MakingSolarDoMore

Over the past 6 years, Clearloop has been accelerating decarbonization with a mission to promote equitable access to clean energy, which is why we co-authored this white paper, "Curing Carbon Blindness" with our partners at WattTime.org: https://bit.ly/4e47Q66 In the paper, we explore the highly variable carbon intensity levels across the American grid and their implications for carbon accounting, decarbonization strategy, and equitable access to cleaner energy. The paper shows how the cleanest parts of our country's electricity grid have emissions comparable to Finland or New Zealand, while the most carbon-intensive regions are comparable to Iraq or South Africa. Confronting these inequities is essential to both accelerating decarbonization and advancing environmental and economic equity. Thanks to everyone who attended Silicon Ranch Corporation's two panels at #SXSW2025 in Austin: "Location Matters: Optimizing America's Energy Transition" and "Shepherding The Future: Agriculture and the Energy Transition." Our panelists were thrilled with the attendance and thoughtful engagement these panels generated, and grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate in these two different contexts how important it is for solar projects to fit the unique heritage, values, and aspirations of the communities that host them. A huge thanks to our panelists: Andrew Peterman, Director of Advanced Energy Solutions at Rivian; Laura Corso, VP of Strategic Growth at WattTime.org; Joe Azar, Director of the PANOLA PARTNERSHIP, INC.; Laura Zapata, our co-founder and CEO; Roxanne Newton of Hound River Farm; Will Harris of White Oak Pastures; Silicon Ranch's Chief Operating Officer Boris Schubert; and Silicon Ranch's Senior Manager of Regenerative Energy Operations Jim Malooley. Thanks to Vanderbilt University for inviting Clearloop to speak at the Center for Social Ventures @ Vanderbilt Summit as part of a panel on corporate social responsibility. The panel explored the motivations for corporate sustainability work and the importance of private sector action to meet the challenges of the climate crisis. Our co-founder and COO Bob Corney’s remarks highlighted the innovative partnership between Vanderbilt, Silicon Ranch, and its carbon solutions platform Clearloop to meet Vanderbilt’s ambitious Scopes 2 & 3 emissions mitigation targets. #MakingSolarDoMore

We’re just days away from #SXSW2025 in Austin, Texas, and, thanks to your votes, Silicon Ranch Corporation will be hosting two panels at this year’s event: "Shepherding The Future: Agriculture and the Energy Transition," will take place on Sunday, March 9th, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM CT in Salon A at the Hilton Austin Downtown. This panel features our friends and leading regenerative farmers, Roxanne Newton of Hound River Farm and Will Harris of White Oak Pastures, along with our Chief Operating Officer, Boris Schubert, and our Senior Manager of Regenerative Energy Operations, Jim Malooley. The panel will highlight the benefits of the dual use of land for solar and agriculture (agrivoltaics), with Silicon Ranch’s use of managed grazing sheep to control the vegetation under and around solar arrays as a model. https://lnkd.in/g5c9YmKq On the same day at the same location from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM CT will be our second panel, "Location Matters: Optimizing America's Energy Transition" featuring Laura Zapata, the co-founder and CEO of Silicon Ranch's carbon solutions platform Clearloop alongside Laura Corso (Cirincione), the VP of Strategic Growth at WattTime.org; Joe Azar, Director of the Panola Partnership; and Andrew Peterman, Director of Advanced Energy Solutions for Rivian. This panel will outline how emissionality, a measurement of the relative benefits of a renewable energy project based on location, can help site solar projects in areas where they have the most economic, environmental, and health impact. https://lnkd.in/gFKJ2tC9 Join us in Austin for these exciting conversations! #MakingSolarDoMore SXSW
