Got questions about agent reliability, MCP, or A2A? Drop them in the comments — I’ll ask them for you on the panel I am moderating on Thursday. 🎤 Our dream panel: › Miku Jha – Global Director, Applied AI Google (co-creator of A2A) › Yoko Li – Partner Andreessen Horowitz, AI & Infra investing lead › Pete Koomen – Partner Y Combinator & AI deep diver I’ve got my list, but I want your voice in the room. That’s the whole point of doing this — to build in public, with the community. 📍 It'll be at GitHub HQ on Thursday, and yes, it’s already waitlisted. But ping me — a few spots always open up. Not in SF? We’ve got a live stream too.

We’ll also have demos of MCP and A2A in action from: › Anthropic with Sophie Altchek › Browserbase with Paul Klein IV › Postman with Dustin Schau › Sentry with Cody De Arkland › Google Cloud with Yemi Falokun › Rootly AI SRE and MCP Server 🗓️ Not surprisingly, the event is already waitlist‑only before I even had a chance to post 😅. If you would like to attend, please DM me. RSVP link below. Otherwise we'll live stream it too!

For Marino Wijay, software-defined networking makes today’s reliability possible. It’s the foundation for larger abstractions like service meshes, which enable us to run more resilient and scalable applications. With #LLM workloads becoming the norm, network-layer decisions aren't just about uptime — they’re about accuracy, safety, cost, and context. Check out the full interview to hear why networking is at the heart of reliability, and how it’s evolving to safeguard the future of AI.

Designed by Lisbon-based sound engineer, João Gorjão, the new Rootly ringtones will make sure you wake up if you get a page at 3 am, but without an adrenaline rush. João based his work on scientific papers and studies around alarms and their effects on the human brain. He then created ringtone variations that allow you to choose a calmer sound or a more energetic one. Read the whole story and a short behind-the-scenes documentary below.
Learn how Rootly engineered alarm ringtones for on-call.

MCP servers and A2A have the potential to turn every developer into a 10x engineer and help SRE teams hit four nines with fewer headaches. But can you really rely on protocols that have just emerged to safely manage production? Join Miku Jha (Google Cloud), Yoko Li (Andreessen Horowitz), and Sylvain Kalache (Rootly) as they dive into the present and future of agent communication. And because words aren’t enough, you’ll also get live demos from Anthropic, GitHub, Postman, and Browserbase, who are already putting MCP servers and A2A into action. RSVP below.

Yes, SRE has multiple AI use cases, at Thoughtworks DAMO (https://lnkd.in/gntajGVN), we use AI Agents to manage FinOps metrics and workflows connecting Chronosphere, Rootly, Slack, powered by Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.0 models, this is how it works: 1️⃣ Chronosphere collects FinOps metrics from GKE applications or GCP infrastructure, and generates alerts, which are managed by Rootly 2️⃣ Rootly creates and manages FinOps incidents through a Slack conversation, tagging FinOps experts for collaboration 3️⃣ FinOps support agents use Slack to trigger a workflow that includes an AI Agent — a Planning Agent powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro. 4️⃣ The Planning Agent generates an investigation and data retrieval plan, then hands it off to an Investigation Agent powered by the deep reasoning model Gemini 2.0 Flash. 5️⃣ The Investigation Agent executes the plan, making multiple calls to Chronosphere and other sources to collect evidence and data. 6️⃣ The collected results are processed by the reasoning model to synthesize a report that includes suggested next steps. 7️⃣ An Action Agent consolidates the summary and recommendations, delivering them back to Slack for human review. 8️⃣ Additional actions are available via Slack, including downstream automation such as generating reports in Confluence or executing FinOps workflows like running cloud optimization scripts. Our next use case for the AI-driven SRE solution will focus on Context-Aware Observability Engineering with an AI Coding Assistant. #FinOps #AIOps #ai-agents
