Do all federal jobs require security clearance? No, not all federal jobs require a security clearance. However, all federal positions require the candidate to undergo a suitability adjudication process to determine if the individual is suitable for federal employment. Once the tentative job offer is given, the candidate completes a general security review to determine whether they can carry out the duties of a federal job with appropriate integrity.
