Listen. If in person listen with the ears, eyes and body. Before making any statement; Pause. Make sure the person is finished talking. Be alert with the eyes and show enthusiasm and interest with the eyes. Ask questions, more questions and more questions until you are completely confident that you understand the person or persons you are communicating with.
