“I had the absolute pleasure of managing, leading and working with Heidi for approximately 3 years at Sociomantic Labs. She came in as a Learning & Development Coordinator and grew to take over my role as Head of L&D at the company. But more importantly, she helped me to build out the entire L&D Department, which did not exist before either us. From the first day I met Heidi, she was already an obvious star. Absolutely one-of-a-kind, her initial interview and resume stood out by far. Her past experience at Apple, and her love of life and people shined brightly. Her attention to detail and talent for aesthetics made it so that she consistently delivered beautifully-packaged, high quality content. Most of our work involved either learning material creation, data collection to determine learning needs, or interacting with other stake holders to support them in their own learning ventures. This is very difficult work and often frustrated or took me by surprise, as I come from both a creative and technological background. In these moments, it was Heidi who often stayed calm and cleverly deduced the answers of how to work with others in a diverse and changing environment. On top of that, her ability to coach and assist me in getting out of my own way was absolutely crucial. She is not just a reliable worker, but a valuable asset to any leader who wants a team mate that will help them grow and become a better leader themself. Regardless of the dedicated and honest work ethic she embodies, Heidi keeps things really light hearted and enjoyable. She brings interesting cuisine experiences, self care and health topics, and good old fashioned down-to-earth humanity into the workplace daily. I also saw her juggle being a new mother while tackling massive projects, and this later helped me to have a role model to look to when having my first child. Needless to say, Heidi inspired me both in and outside of the office. Overall, her work life balance and professionalism is always at an 11/10. I am incredibly sad to no longer be working with her and I would jump at the chance to do so again. To pass up Heidi as a candidate is to shoot oneself in the foot, repeatedly, forever. I cannot stress enough how invaluable she is. Just trust me, and hire her now, before someone else does.”

“ It is a privilege to recommend Ms Heidi Higginbottom for your position. Not only is she extremely qualified she was able to visualize my needs with patience and understanding of the designs I had in mind. As a Certified Art Teacher is the Bellingham school district she guided me with a focus on experiential and creative ideas as well as a learner-centric approach to project and curricula design. She is also a very calming force when I sometimes felt stuck with how to proceed. Because of this I was able to create impressive and enjoyable learning plans integrating arts into science, language arts and other modalities primary teachers requested. Her ideas are highly original and innovative. As an example when creating a blended program on the science of wind energy for a 5th grade class the learning plan she helped me create an interesting study including the principles of flight (force, gravity, friction and thrust). With these in mind the students created with paper and felt pens airplanes. The students also learned about turbines, geothermal sources and solar energy during this class. At the culmination of the class the students took their creations outside and flew them on the playground. Not only did they utilize their own creative spirits but were able to see the principals of flight in action.
