We are excited to announce the launch of another nano project! #NanoAzadirachtin! At the heart of IIL Biologicals Ltd. i.e. "NanoBiotech Research Lab.", we have successfully developed "Nanoformulation of Azadirachtin (3000 ppm)" with particle size <10 nm. We are Grateful to Our Mentors (Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, MD, IIL Biologicals Ltd. and Dr. LC Rohela, AVP, QC/QA, IIL) and Kudos to the Team! Nano-formulations in agriculture involve the application of nanoparticles to improve the delivery and efficacy of fertilizers, pesticides, and biostimulants. These formulations enhance the bioavailability of active ingredients, reduce environmental impact, and provide controlled release of nutrients or agrochemicals. Azadirachtin is a naturally occurring compound extracted from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica). It is widely recognized for its insecticidal, antifeedant, and growth regulatory properties, making it a powerful biopesticide in sustainable agriculture. Azadirachtin interferes with the hormonal systems of insects, preventing molting and reproduction, thus controlling pest populations without harming beneficial organisms. It is used to control a wide variety of insect pests, including aphids, whiteflies, and caterpillars, in crops like fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals. It is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic to humans, making it a key component in integrated pest management (IPM) programs. Nano-formulations of Azadirachtin can help significantly reduce the applications of agrochemicals, minimize environmental contamination, and promote precision agriculture by optimizing resource use. Currently, the product is under different phases of evaluation for its efficacy. Global Genes' Director of Patient Services, Shruti Mitkus Ph.D., has contributed to the recently published N-of-1 therapies roadmap publication in Nature Reviews (with IRDiRC). An N-of-1 gene therapy is an individualized treatment developed for a particular mutation that is present in a single patient (of very few other patients). In this paper overview an overview is provided of the current advances and challenges of N-of-1 therapies as well as a development roadmap. The objective of IRDiRC's N-of-1 Task Force is to connect the different N-of-1 efforts being conducted globally and to create a roadmap towards development and implementation of these therapies. Global Genes is grateful to have provided the patient perspective on genetic diagnosis and communicating effectively with families to assess perceived benefit of such treatments. #raredisease #nof1 #careaboutrare

Submits IND for Pidnarulex Pilot Study in Advanced Solid Tumors Sponsored by National Cancer Institute (NCI) Senhwa Biosciences, Inc. has submitted an IND application for Pidnarulex to the FDA, in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), to investigate its effects on advanced solid tumors. This pilot study, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), will focus on biomarkers in patients with and without homologous recombination deficiency using Pidnarulex, a small molecule targeting G-quadruplex structures. Future trials will explore combinations with immunotherapies, antibody-drug conjugates, and PARP inhibitors. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of Pidnarulex, providing new treatment options for advanced cancer patients, with the ADC market projected to reach $30 billion by 2028. **Calling all curious minds!** Did you know that genetic variants not only determine traits like eye color but also shape the features of your cells? A study conducted by a team from the Broad Institute investigated how genetic variations influence cell morphology using iPSCs from 297 donors. By mapping regions of the genome associated with variations in cell shape and structure, researchers discovered significant associations between rare protein-altering variants in genes such as WASF2, TSPAN15, and PRLR and specific cell traits like cell shape, nucleic granularity, and mitochondrial distribution. The Opera Phenix high-content screening system and Cell Painting assay were pivotal in capturing detailed images of cellular structures. The high-content imaging data, combined with genomic sequencing, provided new perspectives on the genetic basis of cellular morphology. Academia must understand that just publishing an article to a high-impact factor journal or in “BIG 3” does not give a license that work is immune from the critics and the words are from the mouth of GOD or instructions from the HOLY book. Your work published in a high-impact factor journal means the particular work may be novel but could be from trendy and flashy topics. If you have doubts, read the peer-review reports ( it is also crucial because authors have invested 1-2 years on the counter-arguments and additional experiments to support the study). Just because you do not have enough time, relying on some metrics to judge the quality of the work is absurd. Mice lacking histone H2A deubiquitinases such as Usp16 and Bap1 die in embryonic stage, while mice lacking Usp3, Mysm1, Usp12, and Usp21 have been shown to be deficient in hematopoietic lineage differentiation, cell cycle regulation, and DNA repair. Thus, it is likely that histone deubiquitinases may also be required for human endothelial cell differentiation; however, there are no reports about the role of histone H2A deubiquitinase BAP1 in human endothelial cell development. We differentiated human pluripotent stem cells into the endothelial lineage which expressed stable inducible shRNA against BAP1. Could nanoparticles be an important and effective pathway for providing non-surgical sterilization in cats and dogs? Drs. P. S. MohanKumar and Sheba MohanKumar, out of the University of Georgia, believe that the answer is yes – and they appear to be making great strides proving it. Nanoparticles are absolutely tiny, usually made up of small groups of individual atoms. For reference, a human hair is typically around 100,000 nanometers thick, while nanoparticles themselves are between 1 to 100 nanometers in size. At this scale, particles can exhibit significantly different properties than their larger material counterparts. For instance, at a macro level silk is soft and pliant, but at the nanoparticle level, the cross-linking of silk molecules make it very strong. Nanoparticles are used for many innovative medial treatments, from gene therapy to diagnostics to drug delivery. The Drs. MohanKumar, professors and researchers in the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine, have extensive backgrounds in veterinary medicine, endocrinology (which includes the study of hormones), and nanoparticles. They are developing a product called Gonads be Gone to treat male and female cats and dogs and – although their studies have not yet been published – initial research looks very encouraging. We look forward to sharing more about this technology when more information is available.
