I've been thinking a lot lately about ways of structuring IaC code, specifically - should this code be separate from application's code, or they can (should) be kept close to each other. When writing backend code, my rule of thumb about managing transactions (and other resources, like connections) is that a method or class cannot interfere with its (transaction's) state if that transaction has been started somewhere outside of that code. In simple words, only a piece of code that started a transaction should make a decision to commit or roll it back. Looks like this model can be applied to codifying infrastructure as well. If an application owns the lifecycle of an infrastructure resource, it is okay to put them in one source code repository. I did development with FoxPro since it appeared (1988). Like everyone else, I faced the paradigm of changing to a new program to develop. After researching several languages, I came across Vue.  I found that the way of programming with VFP is very different than programming in Vue, Angular, React....etc).  So I started to develop a programming framework (web-ones) with the same paradigm oriented  to objects used in VFP. At the moment I already have this framework working. Use as language  TypeScript programming (classes and object-oriented programming and no need to learn HTML).  I have already made several systems and my next objective is to generate a translator to pass my ERP that I have  in VFP to typescript with web-ones technology. The goal: let API Platform handle all of the entity query logic, but give *us* total control with a DTO class. We’ll take a huge step towards that by mapping each entity -> DTO & returning that from our provider. Boom! Our DTO is now the central object!
