Adding metadata to images
- Metadata is effectively data about data. It's information that you add to a file, or that was already embedded that helps you understand more about the file itself. In this case here, I have some images from Millennium park in Chicago. And you'll see if we look in the metadata panel, there's a lot of info. Let's actually switch to the Metadata Workspace. This will give us even more room for metadata. Now, what I can see across the top here is all sorts of relevant information. Now, you'll notice here that we have lots of information. For example, the Creator field is empty. Well, I can select all of these images, go to the Creator field and assign my name. And now that information is actually embedded with the file itself, and it updates. If you want to see information here across the top, you could actually turn on other columns. So if we right-click here, we can actually insert and add additional columns. And you…
