While the focus of our last few videos looked at Gen AI producing new video, this movie looks at creating short videos from pre-existing sources and then automatically editing it for your type of narrative. Now this goes a bit further than an editorial assistant who could take video, organize it for you through color coding and folder structure, and even provide rough string out-cuts of a scene or commercial. Now, a few years ago, I remember being amazed at seeing the potential of this technology. Adobe did a study with Stanford for narrative video editing, and the process was simple. Number one, it gave a computer a bunch of raw footage shot on set for a dialogue scene. For instance, let's say a film scene is three minutes long. The raw footage shot for this might be four, even 100 times this amount. So imagine several hours of this raw video uploaded and being analyzed.
