Onboarding Windows with Intune
- [Instructor] One of the easiest ways to onboard your Windows clients, not servers, but clients, into Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is to use Intune if they are Intune-enrolled. To get started with that, we're going to head to the Defender portal again. We're going to go down to Settings, Endpoints, and then we need to head into Advanced Features, and if I scroll all the way to the bottom, we need to ensure that the Microsoft Intune connection is enabled. With that enabled, we're going to pivot over to Intune, and then we're going to go into the Endpoint Security blade. We're going to head to the Endpoint detection and response section. And then this is where we create our profile that will take Intune-managed devices and get them into Defender for Endpoint. I'll create a new policy. The platform type that I'm going to choose is going to be Windows 10, 11, and Server. We only have one type of profile. We can name it something that will help us understand it in the future.
