- Given the graphic capabilities of computer hardware and software, it is possible to reproduce almost any item in the metaverse that appears in the physical world. This includes simulating pieces of equipment and machinery from automobiles and helicopters to handheld instruments like digital multimeters and even precision instruments like scalpels. Reproducing equipment and machinery in the metaverse means that learners can practice the proper steps and procedures for using the physical instruments in a safe and secure environment without risks to themselves or others. In a metaverse lesson designed to be an operational application, the learners are challenged to apply their hands-on knowledge of how to use a piece of equipment in a simulated situation.
