In this segment, we'll outline steps to take to ensure quality of service for VoIP traffic. Let's start with a discussion on issues that can affect VoIP communication. The network constantly faces contention from competing traffic, bandwidth limitations, and resource constraints. Let's take a look. In this graphic, we see a pie chart that shows the inbound LAN and WAN traffic distribution. In both graphs, we see that YouTube accounts for the largest share of bandwidth consumption, while smaller portions come from various other applications.
