The actual cost of delayed website upgrades Future updates in the ecosystem happen every couple of years. Keeping your legacy solution is not a best practice because updating helps you reduce support and maintenance effort. New solutions are usually more secure, faster, and easier to maintain, so the cost of ownership is generally lower.  Upgraded solutions help with talent acquisition. New talented developers and experts are usually not very happy working with legacy projects. Upgrading your solution and keeping it up to date will help you attract new talents to your team. And. Polished and updated back end and front end help with faster page loading. In one project, we've had a 25 percent decrease in page loading time after we migrated from Drupal 8 to Drupal 10. This speed improvement helps to bring your project to better search engine ranking, and in general, it helps you with conversion rates in actions such as registration, subscription, and content downloading. So, I'm not saying that upgrades are silver bullets. However, upgraded websites usually positively impact the money that drives your business. #drupal

I needed a website really quickly this week (just a few pages, but it will eventually be a section in another site, but that's a bigger project) so I tried making it in Google Sites (for reasons can't use Wix or Squarespace). I spent about two hours clicking around, and had something usable, but not quite (I need to embed a Drupal webform from another site for the main landing page). I'm used to Drupal, so I installed Drupal 10.3 (the longest part was finding that specific version because most easy links are now for D11 and I wanted 10) and the DXPR theme (about 20 minutes, including adding the application in Cloudways and turning on SSH and pasting in the two lines of composer). Then I added and enabled some CKEditor 5 plugins and the experimental Navigation module, and in two hours, I have the pages I need, with all of Drupal to build on.
