💚 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 "𝐁𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭" 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧 🎉 Last night, over 20 incredible people braved the freezing #Berlin weather to join me and our keynote speaker, Przemysław Witkowski (Ph.D), for an inspiring presentation and group discussion about the rising tide of far-right populism. We explored how societies get to this point, the storylines behind extremist views and the real causes of fear in society. We discussed how we feel as individuals, as employees and employers. Where can we, where must we take a stand in the current circumstances? What are we able to do and say where? What is too political for work, for LinkedIn, for our friends? One thing was clear - we wanted to know how we, as individuals, technologists, leaders and above all human beings who value democracy, can use our influence. The summary is that we should: ✅ Encourage our networks to vote - because every single vote matters. ✅ Speak up against misinformation and extremism - because silence is not neutrality. ✅ Foster a sense of belonging and community - because democracy thrives when people are connected and empowered. This event was more than a discussion - it was a commitment to action. And this is just the beginning! Given the votes at the end of the meeting, we will be having another event, probably sometime in Spring.
