"Data on Kubernetes is now not 'only for the brave'. It is mainstream." Sergey Pronin on the history and future of #Kubernetes in the newest article from Antony Adshead. https://lnkd.in/gwWn5ihJ Hey says operators and databases on Kubernetes matured quickly to being enterprise-grade, and now orgs are more concerned with the "how" vs the "why" run DOK. Issues left to resolve stem from a lack of standardization in CSIs and working with different storage providers, and managing data and storage across multicloud/hybrid can be challenging - but there are efforts to stabilize this for everyone. Join us at Data on Kubernetes Day at Kubecon to learn more and contribute: https://lnkd.in/gydxSGqg #rundok #data #k8s #stateful #storage #kubecon #dokday

Exploring Red Hat’s approach to #opensource + LLMs 🤖 Join #theCUBE at #KubeCon NA, where we’re speaking with Sally OMalley, principal software engineer at Red Hat, about leveraging open source for supporting #Kubernetes and #LLM deployment. “One of the projects we've been collaborating with IBM on is #InstructLab. It is an open source project where you can take a small, 7 or 8-billion parameter LLM and bring your own data to it easily. You don't need to be an expert or hand your data off to a team of data scientists. It enables a user to bring their data and fine tune and align a smaller model to make it super useful for a narrowly-focused, domain-specific use case,” O'Malley shares. “That's where we're going with LLMs. You were talking about the cost of running them and the smaller models are, if we can show that they can be super effective, that's going to bring the cost down and make it more accessible to everyone,” she adds. 📰 Follow our coverage: https://lnkd.in/gYdhCW3J Savannah Peterson Rob Strechay Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)
