From 23 to 24 April, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President (HR/VP) of the European Commission Kaja Kallas will travel to the Republic of Moldova.

Upon arrival to Chisinau, Moldova, on 23 April, High Representative Kallas will meet with representatives from civil society organisations.

On 24 April, the HR/VP will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi. During the morning, the High Representative will review equipment provided to Moldova through the European Peace Facility and take part in the handover of EU-funded equipment donated to the National Police of Moldova. The High Representative will also meet with the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean. In the afternoon, Kaja Kallas will engage with Young European Ambassadors together with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi. On the same day, the HR/VP will meet with the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, followed by a joint press conference expected at 19:00 (EEST), broadcast live on EBS.
